And the GCFA Circular Economy Award goes to...Healthy Seas!
The third edition of the GCFA took place last September at the iconic Scala in Milan to celebrate the commitment of fashion brands towards a sustainable future.
Our partner, Healthy Seas was awarded with the prestigious Circular Economy Award for the skill and dedication of their team of volunteer divers who are cleaning up ghost nets from the oceans in order to create a healthier marine environment and regenerate this nylon waste into the innovative ECONYL® yarn that we use as the main fabric of our bags.
Veronika Mikos, Healthy Seas project coordinator, who accepted the award insisted on this urgent need to preserve our planet through waste recovery and regeneration. By wearing a beautiful dress made of ECONYL® fiber at the ceremony, she highlighted the fact that we can be sustainable AND fashionable!
